Natural Remedies to Soothe Irritating Cough!


Its the Allergy Season! That means, stubborn cough is back!

This may be shocking but Coughing is actually good for you. It shows that your body is clearing its airways. However, cough can make you feel miserable. It takes forever to get rid of the irritating cough.



Here are several natural home remedies that have proven to help soothe cough:


  • Take 1 teaspoon Onion Juice and 1/2 teaspoon Honey. Mix it well and consume.

  • Crack a Raw Egg in a cup of Warm milk. Stir and drink.

  • Take 1/2 teaspoon Sultanas and 1/2 teaspoon Rock Sugar. Chew on it slowly.

  • Keep 1 Pomegranate Peel in the mouth for 10 minutes.

  • Eat a handful of Roasted Chana (Chickpeas) before bedtime. Do not drink water for the next 30 minutes to 1 hour.

  • Take a small chunk of Jaggery and suck on it.

  • Consume 1/2 teaspoon Ajwain with a glass of Warm Water.

  • Mix 1/4 teaspoon Chuna Powder with a few drops of Water (paste like consistency). Apply it on your Throat. Rinse it of after 2 - 3 hours.

Although all these remedies will help you stop or control your cough, it will not treat a disease. If you are coughing due to smoking, home remedies will not help cure it. Moreover, asthma, infection, or allergies can also result in coughing. You need to see a doctor to treat those conditions.
