Effective Home Remedies for Fever- How to get rid of Fever



When body temperature rises above the normal temperature (37°C/98.6°F), it means you have a fever- usually caused by some type of illness.

For young ones temperature higher than 37.5°C (99°F) and for adults temperature higher than 38°C (100.4°F) indicates fever.


There are many ways in which you can manage your fever at home with these natural remedies:



  • Take 1/2 teaspoon Salt in a glass of Warm Water. Keep sipping it in the morning and evening for 2 days.

  • In a pot, add 1 cup Water, 1/2 teaspoon Coffee, 2 - 3 Basil leaves and 3 - 4 Mint leaves. Bring to a boil. Cover it for 10 min. Strain the concoction in a mug. Stir in a teaspoon Honey. Consume it.

  • Take 1/2 teaspoon Basil juice, 1/4 teaspoon Ajwain seeds, 1/4 teaspoon Ginger powder and 1 teaspoon Honey. Mix it well and consume.

  • Drink a glass of Immunity Booster Milk.

  • In a cup of Hot Water, add 2 - 3 Basil leaves, 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper, 1 teaspoon Jaggery and 1 tablespoon Lemon juice. Stir and drink.

  • Take 1 tablespoon Onion juice, 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper and 1/2 teaspoon Honey. Mix it well and consume.

  • Soak 1 tablespoon Cumin seeds in a glass of Warm Water for 30 min. Drink it.

  • In a pot, boil 1 cup Water, 1 teaspoon Coriander seeds, 1 inch Ginger. Strain the mixture and add 1 teaspoon Honey.

  • Soak 2 - 4 Cardamom Pods and 3 - 4 Black Peppercorns in 1 glass of Water for 30 - 60 minutes. Strain and consume it.

  • Fill a bowl with Cold Water and add 1 teaspoon Salt. Take a clean Cloth and dip it in the water. Squeeze the cloth to get excess water out and put it on the Forehead, repeat until the fever reduces.
